Geller Lighting Supply (October 2018 - Present)

  • Program company websites (shop.gellerlighting.com and www.lightbulbwholesaler.com) to work properly on mobile platforms, follow material design principles, and improve user experience.
  • Optimize websites for SEO, improving structured data and performance metrics.
  • Enact better practices for handling our websites such as development environments, stricter policies for what can be stored on production equipment, and better accessibility options for ease of use and 508 compliance
  • Create site mockups for new designs and additional features to present to ownership.
  • Perform Tier 1 troubleshooting and onsite IT assistance for all members of staff.

Image Analysis and Communications Lab, Johns Hopkins (Summers, 2014 - 2016):

  • Designed a modern, mobile and desktop friendly layout for the lab’s website using HTML, CSS, and PHP in the MediaWiki CMS to improve access quality on modern phones and PCs (2016).
  • Edited legacy plugins and extensions to work with modern versions of MediaWiki to keep the lab’s website working as intended for student and faculty use (2016).
  • Edited over 25 pieces of technical writing for the research portion of the website (2014 - 2015).

Towson University Division of Innovation and Applied Research (September 2017 - December 2017):

  • Worked as a PCI-DSS consultant to perform a 3rd party audit as part of a capstone project.
  • Performed scans (Nessus, etc.), physical tours, network map analysis, and documentation reviews to judge DIAR’s adherence to the PCI-DSS 12 tenants.

Additional Projects

  • BuzzFeeder: I built a Python/Bash script that uses Beautiful Soup 4 to create a tally of how often BuzzFeed uses specific numbers for their list articles.
  • YRPG: I built a web application using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for my friends to run their own custom tabletop RPG system.
